Investors dipped back into equities on Wednesday, snapping a two day loosing streak. The Nasdaq had its best day in more than a year as investors bought beaten down tech stock. The energy sector got a boost from a surge in oil prices.

Taking a look at the markets; the Dow Jones Industrials recovered 247 to 13,289; the S&P500 gained 31 points ending at 1,464, and the Nasdaq recovered 63 points to finish at 2,563.

In company news, one of the Nasdaq's best performers was Apple; shares rose 5.72% to $134.08 after the company distributed invitations to an event in San Francisco which Goldman Sachs said could be the launch of a new family of iPods. Goldman recommended buying Apple shares saying the next video iPod could drive "an accelerated upgrade cycle".
