London Stock Exchange and Tokyo Stock Exchange, Inc.

The London Stock Exchange and Tokyo Stock Exchange, Inc. today announced details of an agreement aimed at enhancing their international presence through co-operation on access arrangements and the development of new products. This is the first time that the two exchanges have agreed to work together, and it is expected that the co-operation will bring benefits for investors, issuers and member firms.

NYSE Group Leads U.S. Exchanges in ETF Trading

NYSE Group, Inc. announced that 16 new iShares® ETFs transferred their primary listing from the American Stock Exchange to the New York Stock Exchange as part of the previously announced agreement with iShares in 2005. The addition of these products solidifies NYSE Group, Inc. as the world’s premier venue for ETF listings and trading, with 165 primary listings while handling 43% of all ETF shares traded in the U.S. market in 2006.

New Exchange Traded Funds Based On NASDAQ Clean Energy And NASDAQ-100 Ex-Tech Indexes

The Nasdaq Stock Market, Inc. and First Trust Advisors L.P. have announced the launch of two new exchange traded funds (ETFs) - the First Trust NASDAQ® Clean Edge® U.S. Liquid Series Index Fund and the First Trust NASDAQ-100 Ex-Technology Sector Index Fund. They are based on the NASDAQ® Clean Edge® U.S. Liquid Series Index and the NASDAQ-100 Ex-Tech Sector IndexSM, respectively. The ETFs are managed by First Trust Advisors L.P. and listed on NASDAQ®.

Euronext 2006 revenues exceeded €1.1bn, delivering an all-time record

The fourth quarter of 2006 has been the second busiest quarter of the year and the highest fourth quarter ever. In Q4 2006, Euronext revenues increased by 5.9% compared to the same period in 2005, leading to an all-time record level of annual revenues of €1,102.2m, an increase of 14.6% compared to 2005 revenues.

NYSE Euronext to Commence Offer for Euronext Shares

NYSE Euronext, Inc., NYSE Group, Inc. and Euronext N.V. have announced that NYSE Euronext, Inc., through its indirect wholly owned subsidiary NYSE Euronext (Holding) N.V., will commence an exchange offer today, Thursday, February 15 for all of the outstanding shares of Euronext. The exchange offer will close on March 21, 2007 and the settlement and delivery of the offer, as well as the admission of the NYSE Euronext shares on Euronext Paris and on NYSE, is expected to take place on April 4, 2007.

NASDAQ Announces Fourth Quarter 2006 Results

The Nasdaq Stock Market, Inc. today reported fourth quarter 2006 net income of $63.0 million, or $0.43 per diluted share, an increase of $45.9 million from $17.1 million, or $0.15 per diluted share, in the fourth quarter of 2005, and an increase of $32.8 million from $30.2 million, or $0.22 per diluted share, in the third quarter of 2006.

Exchange Starts 2007 With 61 Per Cent increase In Sets Activity

The London Stock Exchange made a very strong start to 2007 with record trading activity across its markets. The number of SETS trades increased 61 per cent on January 2006 to 8.7 million, the highest number of trades ever recorded on the electronic order book in a single month, while the value traded rose by 33 per cent to £156.5 billion. The average daily number of trades on SETS in January increased 54 per cent on last January to 397,215, and the average daily value traded rose by 27 per cent to £7.1 billion.
